Ripple Effect

Quick entry, but something I truly believe can help you and others. It’s simple, and most of us have all heard of it. (Hopefully, have done it.) A pay it forward kind of deal. Someone carrying groceries drops an item out of their bag, you pick it up for them, helping them out. Someone holding their child’s hand? Maybe open the door for them. The theory is, these two people to whom you’ve shown kindness, will do a little kindness for someone else, thus paying it forward. Ripple Effect.

The same can be done when speaking about Bipolar Disorder and other mental illnesses. Invite someone to a support group, for example, and next time they bring a friend. Seeing an excellent therapist? Give his/her name to another in need.

These simple acts can have beautiful results for both receiver and giver.
