Like most of us in the bipolar community, I have questioned my need to continue with taking pills. I mean, after all , in general, I sorta kinda feel stable ? And the side effects are bad. Yeah, they really are. Enormous weight gain , almost 100 pounds since I was first DXed. Lethargy, blunted feelings, lack of motivation, hair loss, rectal incontinence { ! } , blurry vision , dizziness , loss of hearing , and I’ll skip how it’s affected my libido.
All that so I don’t experience rage , manic outbursts ,or extreme suicidal depression.
I’m very sorry you’re dealing with so many side effects. I’ve experienced many of those. All at one time for you? I guess it comes down to the lesser of two evils. Literally.

Is it worth it ?
After more than a decade…… I haven’t decided

My sanity and life depend on me taking my psych meds. I have to weigh the pros and cons and the pros win.
