There is something that needs saying. People slam the movie Assassin’s Creed with Michael Fassbender, and they’re just flat wrong.
It’s an interesting premise, and there’s solid acting by Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. And let’s face it, folks, Michael is so good looking. What’s not to like? 😉
Seriously though, I think I’ve come to enjoy and appreciate superhero type movies because it’s nice to see characters fight for what’s right and honorable, because frankly, that can be hard to find in this world we reside today.
Just enjoy the view. It’s good for your mental health. 🙂
Do you have a favorite movie, actor/actress or book as your go-to for relaxation? I’m loving Marvel these days. Tom Hiddleston is a great actor. I still love reaching for Shakespeare. Birding magazines are lovely. The music artist Halsey is a good chunk of my evening.
I am always drawn to the Mario Puzo books and movies. The depictions of violence and utter strength and solidarity of the mob families fascinates me . I grew up in an Irish Italian neighborhood where the Godfather was beloved and revered and yes feared, {Yes, there are Godfathers} … I can honestly say that I probably have seen the Godfather movies dozens of times. Each time I see one I get some new detail or subtle nuance
For me – Watching sporting events, mainly baseball, though I do watch football, basketball and hockey as well, are my “go to” for relaxation. I’ve always sucked at playing competitive team sports, though I used to like them for fun when I was younger. Movies – I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and old western or WWII movies such as Midway or Mr Roberts. Music – Contemporary Christian, Country or Pop, with a little clean hip hop or rap thrown in, though some classical is good if I’m in the mood. Books – again like romance novels, especially trilogies and series with a good stories and fully developed characters. My favorite authors are Robyn Carr, Catherine Anderson, Susan Wiggs, and JoAnn Ross. I also like autobiographies read by the author on CD or audible books.
I’ve loved the Marvels I have seen so far, wish there were more! i look forward to checking out assassin’s creed. thanks for the head’s up. not doing well at all. could do with the distraction.

I love those films as well, especially the first two. I’ve not read the books, though.
